Plague Doctors are one of the [[creatures]] found in the game.

They are a hostile human NPCs closely associated with [[Bandits (creatures)|Bandits]]. They typically spawn near bandit camps or in areas where bandits are present. Plague Doctors always wear a plague doctor outfit and are notable for being the only known hostile entity equipped with [[Ranged Weapons|firearms]].

When killed, Plague Doctors drop 1x [[Broken Plague Mask]] and 1x [[Broken Bandit Hazmat Suit]]. Theres also a rare chance for a ammo drop.

== Behavior ==
Plague Doctors are aggressive and will shoot players on sight using a revolver. After firing a few shots, they will reposition themselves instead of remaining stationary, making them more dynamic and unpredictable in combat.

== Notes ==
* Plague Doctors are visually distinct due to their unique outfit and mask.
* Their smart repositioning behavior differentiates them from standard [[Bandits (creatures)|Bandits]].
* They appear to be neutral towards the [[Bandits (creatures)|Bandits]] and will not engage them in combat. Despite this, they generally do not act together unless both are too close of a player.

== Tips ==

* Never fight Plague Doctors when you are low on health, as it is very unlikely that you will be able to dodge their shots. Even if you have a firearm.
* Avoid open areas, as their revolver gives them a significant advantage at a distance.
* Be cautious when fighting near [[Bandits (creatures)|Bandits]], as you can be attacked simultaneously by melee and ranged threats. Although Plague Doctors are solitary, they may act together with Bandits against you in some cases if they become too close.
