Ratwolves are highly dangerous, mid-game [[creatures]]. The mutant offspring of rats and wolves, they are mainly found roaming the city biome which appears after shining 10 and above. Players should be alert at all times and listen for telltale howl or growling sounds, as this is indicative of ratwolf activity in the area. Once a ratwolf has been aggro’d, it is impossible to escape without either killing the ratwolf or perishing. They are capable of running on four legs, high damage output and sometimes hunt in packs. It is advised to bring high-tier loot in response to a ratwolf threat. They drop ratwolf head trophies (the most expensive in the game at the time of writing) which can be sold to the [[Hunter]] in [[Sirzez]] as well as [[Clothing|ratwolf hide]], the latter being useful as ratwolf hides can be worn in the vest slot and provide good protection from cold as well as radiation.<br />
