Dwarves are one of the creatures found in the game.
They are small, humanoid, two-legged creatures typically found in villages, where they spawn in groups. Dwarves are known for their loud behavior, frequently shouting, laughing, drinking Vodka, and interacting with one another.
Despite their chaotic nature, they are completely passive and will not attack under any circumstances. Players can offer Vodka to befriend them.
When killed, a dwarf will drop its current inventory. Wild Dwarves may drop nothing or a small set of items, usually consisting of food or water. Player-tamed Dwarves will drop whatever items were stored in their inventory.
Location
Dwarves spawn in villages, usually in small groups.
Behavior
Dwarves are passive and will never fight back. They wander randomly around their environment and tend to avoid threats.
Taming
Dwarves can be befriended by giving them Vodka. Once tamed, they can be interacted with and commanded:
- Open their inventory.
- Follow the player (note: they are slow and may get lost).
- Stand still.
- Wander freely, interacting with other dwarves (laughing, shouting, and drinking vodka).
- Pick up (store them in your inventory). They can later be used to craft a Dwarf Generator.
Notes
- Dwarves do not resist radiation or emissions and must be kept inside your Bunker during emission events, or they will die.
- If you put any food, especially vodka, in their inventory, it will eventually disappear and won't work with other items!
Tips
- Dwarves have a small inventory, similar to a Soviet Backpack, with a capacity of 10 kg. This makes them useful for early-game inventory management, especially when playing solo.
- Always secure your dwarves before an emission, or you will lose them.
- Dwarves are a good source of energy generation in your Bunker if you have a lot of Vodka.
- It hasn't yet been confirmed whether other creatures can aggro and kill him. Knowing this, be careful with your Dwarf when exploring emissions.
